It was so beautiful this summer. A lot of days were spent at the lake and every Saturday we spent at the Farmer's Market.
As much as I hate it, I went camping. As I was lugging all the camping crap around Hot Fuzz was just shaking his head. I asked him WHAT?!! Don't you like camping?! I did this because I thought you all liked it. His response, "Yeah I like it, in a hotel with running water!" And then we agreed that we would only go camping once a year for one night.
My mom came for a visit!
Hot Fuzz and Baby Jagger had their birthdays! And we ate Korean BBQ.
Baby Jagger started football and it has taken over our lives. On his first practice it was safe to say that he was the second worst player on the team but he has gotten SO much better and they actually have played him almost the whole time defense is playing! They never let him on the field during offense... he isn't, um, very good around the ball. BUT he can take a kid down!
Darling Husband had his South Sound Summer Jam and from my point of view (I don't know his) it was awesome! It was my first Drift race event and I was in love within minutes!
AND it was one of the only days we were all together!!
Buttons and I had our 4th anniversary at Sand in the City! It is were we first met.
My family headed for the border... the Canadian border that is.
The kids say that their favorite part was the hotel... Hot Fuzz said next time we should just let them pack a suit case and go stay the night at the hotel down the road, it would be way cheaper.
When we went on that bridge I almost shit my pants.
Best photo bomb! I was so scared I was yelling at Hot Fuzz to take the god damn picture through clenched teeth.
Buttons and I went to our first Highland Games!!! Oh man, it was exciting! We tried haggis for the first time. It took hours to get that taste out of our mouths. I REALLY recommend NOT drinking a soda with or right after you eat it because every single burp you get to relive that haggis.
We flew our freak flag and dressed up for a picture with the kids. I wish you could see Baby Jagger's kilt better!
And there were men in kilts. It was magical.
It was about time I had the kids' photos taken for the wall. But it is always so stressful I just decided to do it myself. I am handy enough with Photoshop to make them look good.
And then in preparation for school to start I took Baby Jagger to get his hair TRIMMED and the evil b***h that cut his hair cut it ALL OFF!!!! I cried, he just sat there looking like he was going to cry, and Hot Fuzz just said, "I really liked it long." But now that we are over the shock I don't think it looks bad at all. But he said he is going to grow it out again.
AND Buttons and I DID our dresses for the 12 Dress project.
Now that summer is done I am going to put effort into actually writing every week, so come back every Wednesday to see what I am up to. I will be writing about sewing, pies, a home project and I am going to keep a journal about my vow renewal that I am planning.
